Server based worksharing between multiple sites

Central files, local files - they used to be all on the same network on the same LAN. But not anymore! Revit Server enables server based worksharing, allowing for multiple team members from multiple geographically dispersed sites to finally work on the same Revit model. Optimizing network communication from the Revit models, Revit server uses a central server and multiple local servers to facilitate project collaboration across a wide-area network. The local servers will push changes silently from one site to the central server, and the central server will push the changes to other local servers, making it readily available to all team members. No longer is the need to FTP files between offices, or ship DVDs of Revit models to team members around the world. With Revit Server, you can all your team members can work simultaneously on the same Revit model!
