Create a fully integrated, bi-directional Structural model using a single project database. Develop views and schedules as reports from the model. Link and coordinate with Revit Building (architectural) model.

Topics Include:

• Conceptual Design: Producing mass models using massing geometry and element associativity. Use the massing tools to create masses using extrusions, revolve, sweep and blend components and convert object massing to components elements.
  
  
• Design Development: Create detail drawings directly in the model using 2D and 3D drafting and parametric detailing tools. Utilize worksets to enable multiple team members to work together on the same model and use file linking to connect other Revit models and DWG compatibility. Other topics include adding walls, creating and modifying curtain walls, windows, doors, roofs, levels, grids, columns, floors and ceilings. Learn to edit using the Revit toolset including splitting walls and lines, trim / extend, match, align, move, offset, rotate, array, mirror and group. Create instant color-plan diagrams and rendered walkthrough animations exported to AVI files.
  
  
• Construction Documentation: Create temporary and permanent dimensions, text and text styles, fill patterns, tags, arrowheads and symbols. Learn to create and modify schedules and to configure office standards for line styles and line weights to comply with other CAD standards.
  
  
• Compatibility with AutoCAD: as well as output to DXF, DGN and PDF file formats.
