Objective:

Learn how to work efficiently within combustion's streamline interface and take full advantage of combustion's unified paint, animation, and compositing abilities. Features that will be covered in great detail include compositing, painting, animating, lights, cameras, color correction, text tool, particles, the schematic view and much more.

Topics Include:

Basic concepts and navigation of the UI
2d/3d comps, Footage controls, Views, View Modes, Animation, Layers, Timeline, Preferences, and Composite Controls

Paint
Overview - Use paint to create paint strokes, and selections, and to apply effects to areas of an image without affecting the rest of the image.
Draw Modes, Vector shapes, Object menu - make curve, Selections, Brushes, Text

Channels, Mattes, and Masks
Using Alpha Channels, Creating Channel Effects, Using Masks

Color Correcting and Keying
Discreet Color Corrector, (Discreet Keyer optional)

Tracking (optional)

Animation and key framing
Setting keys, Controlling animation through the timeline, Expressions

Render Elements from 3dsmax
Rendering from 3dsmax to Combustion
Layers and transfer modes

G-Buffer Builder with Elements
Proper placement inside G-buffer operator, Changing renders. Z-depth. DOF. 3d post effects

Creating Particle Effects
