form·Z RadioZity is the version of form·Z
that includes radiosity based rendering, provided by the LightWorks®
radiosity engine. With form·Z RadioZity, the distribution
of light in an environment can be simulated in a physically
accurate manner.
Radiosity based renderings are produced by first creating
a radiosity solution. The objects in a scene are meshed at
variable levels of resolution, depending on the local effects
of lights as they bounce off the surfaces. After it is produced,
the radiosity solution is rendered using one of the rendering
modes available in form·Z RenderZone. Radiosity solutions
can also be rendered with QD3D (MacOS) and Open GL (Windows),
resulting in real time interactive manipulation of accurately
shaded images.
form·Z RadioZity also incorporates two
more light types area and custom, in addition to those present
in the other version of the program. These lights are particularly
effective in producing radiosity solutions and renderings.
Here are a few form·Z RadioZity examples you can inspect.
Please note that the wireframe representations shown on each
page are simple representations of the involved radiosity
solutions. Due to the limitations of web graphics, trying
to show the "actual" mesh resolutions would result
in unintelligible images.
