Civil Batch Drawing
Converter Utility |
The Autodesk® Civil Batch Drawing Converter Utility provides
batch
conversion of drawings via the “Export to AutoCAD” functionality
and the Object Enabler. It also allows you to set the INSUNITS in
a drawing to any supported unit in order to insure correct scale and
display when you open the drawing in Autodesk Land Desktop 2007. |
Coordinate Land and
Surveying Functions
Autodesk Land Desktop 2006 extends AutoCAD 2006 and Autodesk Map®
3D 2006 with enhanced land development features and industry-leading
analysis and drafting tools. Quickly add and label coordinate geometry
(COGO) points, define and edit parcels and roadway alignments, automate
drafting procedures, create terrain models, and calculate volumes accurately
and rapidly. Autodesk Land Desktop is the foundation for Autodesk®
Survey, enabling the consolidation of civil data and integration of your
organization’s land and surveying functions.
Collaborate More Effectively
Project teams work more productively with Autodesk Land Desktop
because crucial data—including points, terrain models,
and alignments—is stored centrally and shared globally.
Any team member can extract 3D grids, contours, and sections
from a project’s master terrain model, so project teams
can work with the most up-to-date data. Automatically convert
Autodesk® Civil 3D™ drawing objects into usable
data for seamless interoperability throughout your organization.
Complete Submittal Sets Faster Than
Ever
Autodesk Land Desktop 2006 includes AutoCAD and Autodesk Map
3D software’s drafting automation functionality to streamline
the completion of submittal documents. Create, annotate, and
manage construction details, and generate legal descriptions
and radial stakeout reports quickly and correctly.
Features
Industry-Specific Drawing Standards
for Engineering and Survey—New
Autodesk® Land Desktop 2006 includes a complete
set of imperial and metric CAD standards for the land planner
and surveyor. Accompanying prototype drawings contain standard
layer definitions, prototype projects with description key
files, point group definitions and other project settings,
symbol libraries, label styles, contour styles, drawing setup
files, and figure prefix libraries. Supporting documentation
makes it easy to create your own office standards manual.
Use these drawing and production standards to dramatically
lower costs while improving quality of construction documents
by ensuring consistency.
Autodesk Civil 3D Data Interoperability—New
Work in the familiar Autodesk Land Desktop environment
while familiarizing yourself with Autodesk® Civil 3D™
2006 software, the most advanced civil engineering tool from
Autodesk. Seamlessly migrate Autodesk Civil 3D data into Land
Desktop projects and back again. Use Autodesk Civil 3D 2006
to increase productivity and accuracy by using a dynamic engineering
model for civil engineering projects such as road, site, sewer
and storm drain, and subdivision projects.
Support for Microsoft Windows XP Restricted
and Limited User Setup—New
New support for Microsoft® Windows® XP Restricted
and Limited User settings provides IT professionals and network
administrators with greater control over security configurations.
Autodesk Land Desktop 2006 now supports Windows XP Restricted
and Limited User network configurations, so you can deploy
Land Desktop 2006 without changing user permissions on your
network. Simplify network administration while maximizing
security using the most appropriate permissions configuration
for your Land Desktop 2006 deployments.
Parking Layout Dynamic Blocks—New
Based on the AutoCAD® 2006 Dynamic Blocks, Autodesk
Land Desktop 2006 now includes Dynamic Blocks specifically
designed for parking lot layout. Dimensions are dynamically
displayed on geometry as you create or edit it. Enter new
values directly at the graphics cursor. Revised values are
displayed instantly in the drawing geometry, providing immediate
feedback on the information you enter. Parking lot and island
layout is interactive and much more efficient for not just
90-degree parking lot lines but for angled parking and curb
stops.
Capabilities of AutoCAD 2006/Autodesk
Map 3D 2006
Autodesk Land Desktop 2006 is built with components of Autodesk
Map® 3D 2006, so you gain access to powerful drafting
and base mapping functionality in one product. Plus you benefit
from full DWG compatibility and many of the new features included
in AutoCAD 2006 software.
Detail Component Manager
The Detail Component Manager provides an uncomplicated interface
for creating and managing construction details simply, quickly,
and easily. It combines database information with XML files
to create a detail of one or more construction materials in
Plan, Elevation, or Section view. You can also use it to manage
blocks and symbols.
Legal Descriptions and Radial Stakeout
Reports
Dramatically reduce the time and effort spent creating common
reports. Enhanced LandXML reporting capabilities now include
customizable legal description and radial stakeout reporting.
Survey Equipment Support
Share terrain models and point data directly to survey equipment
with updated Carlson Connect™ and Trimble® Link
communication applications that enables survey equipment vendors
and utilities to download and upload data from Autodesk Land
Desktop 2006, Autodesk® Civil Design 2006, and Autodesk®
Survey 2006.
Point Management and Reporting
This is an efficient method of defining and managing point
collections into logical and clear groupings. Point groups
also allow users to represent data from a single point in
multiple ways, eliminating unnecessary duplication of points.
The result—increased performance and a streamlined project.
Plan Alignments
The ability to lay out road alignments using graphical and
tabular input and editing functions provides flexibility to
meet a variety of different design challenges and techniques.
Alignment Annotation
With this feature, you can quickly and accurately draft stationing,
station/offset labels, and offset alignments that match drafting
requirements.
Label Styles
A style-based mechanism to control label appearance and drafting
helps to ensure that all drafters will create consistent finish
drafting for labels and tables.
Terrain Model Creation
Create a surface from a variety of 3D data including points,
contours, breaklines, AutoCAD entities, and more.
Parcel Definition and Management
Lay out parcels using standard AutoCAD functions or focused
lot-sizing commands.
Contour Creation
Create contours directly from a terrain model or using flexible
layout commands. Styles help to control contour appearance,
smoothing, and label characteristics.
